MISSION STATEMENT The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival ("LAWTF") was organized to provide a vehicle for the development of women artists utilizing theatre to educate, enlighten and empower solo artists, audiences and volunteers. We celebrate and reflect the diversity of women's voices while focusing on the oneness of women's experiences. Background The first Annual Festival was held during March, 1994, to coincide with the nationally recognized Women's History Month. LAWTF performances celebrate women as artists and cherish the dignity of women in their roles as daughters, mothers and shapers of the community. |
