Ms. Geer has directed over 40 of the productions which include Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams, Chekov, Thornton Wilder and Greek classics. She created the Academy of the Classics for Theatricum in 1976, which now houses an intensive Shakespeare seminar and scene study classes. The academy also offers teen classes and a youth drama camp. Plays presented include Shakespeare and dramatized American history. Currently, Ellen Geer is co-developing Classroom Enrichment, which brings actors and teachers into the classroom to work alongside the English teacher, mounting the curriculum selected classical play with the teacher and students performing the roles.
