An-Noor gives “The
Triumph,” a historical play that tracks a slave’s journey from
Africa to the New World.

This
piece, The Triumph, is the result of an 8 year old school girls
question, "What’s the Middle Passage?" Tajma
committed herself to presenting history in a theatrical way. A
Chicago native, this actress-singer-writer-composer-playwright is
currently writing a series of short stories entitled The Adventures of
T. The first installment was published this summer in Azizah
Magazine. Ms. An-Noor is a graduate of Cincinnati’s
College-Conservatory of Music and the Berklee College of Music.
Some of her regional theatre credits include Kay in Oh Kay!, Claudia
in Nine, Sally in Snoopy!, and Jean in Girl Bar. Film and TV credits
include The Deep End, The Tiger Woods Story, Dying to Live, The Darwin
Conspiracy, Nash Bridges, Pensacola, Renegade, and Silk Stalkings.
