piece chronicles a Latina’s coming of age in Brooklyn’s
African-American Brownsville neighborhood.

Elaine
Del Valle’s autobiographical account of growing up Latina in a NYC
ghetto has swept NYC Festivals, winning her awards for Best Actress,
Writer & Show. She’s a long-time Wynn Handman student, who also
studied at LAByrinth and Peoples Improv Theaters.
Elaine has acted on such projects as Donnie Brasco, The
Sopranos, and DORA the Explorer. Her latest feature, A Sicilian Tale,
recently won for Best Crime Short at the NY Film and Video Festival.
Elaine’s company, Del Valle Productions, has produced
documentaries, pilots, shorts, music videos, and Elaine’s currently
in pre-production of her own sitcom, THE GARCIA PARTY. Elaine founded
and produces a top Charity Cycling event (Mansion Ride for Autism),
which was named Best 35 in the Country by Bicycling Magazine (6/09).
Elaine is a contributing writer to magazines, and a featured
artist for the SOUL-Frito Foundation, encouraging the continuation of
Arts Programs within Urban School Districts.
