Gemma Wilcox trained at the University of Leeds, UK, specializing in physical theatre and was awarded a B.A. Honors Degree in Theatre Studies and English Literature. Her UK acting credits include Sweetie Pie, Fear and Misery In the Third Reich, and she wrote, directed, and performed in The Sight of Your Face is a Blessing: A spontaneous performance. Gemma received two Best of the Fest Awards at the Austin FronteraFest for her one woman shows Menage a Dix and The Honeymoon is Officially Over. She was a proud member of the Austin Shakespeare Festival Company, appearing in Twelfth Night, and assistant directing and performing in Will Power. Gemma received "Best-of -Fest" at the Boulder Fringe for Honeymoon Period is Officially Over, Shadows in Bloom, and 52 Pick Up (2005-2008). She was awarded “Best Solo Performer” at Ottawa Fringe and “Best-in-Fest” at Winnipeg Fringe (2007). Now based in Boulder, CO, her particular interests lie in acting, playwrighting, physical theatre, multi-character work, on-stage presence, transpersonal development work, Sacred Theatre, women’s work, yoga, and spontaneous and authentic expression through the arts.
