ARIADNA RODRIGUEZ is a Spanish Violinist, Performance Artist and Dancer that creates original work blending these disciplines and combining them with Sound and Video Art. She graduated as a FULBRIGHT Scholar from Berklee College of Music and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston/USA). She performed in several events and festivals around the United States, Spain, France, Poland, Portugal, Germany, Poland and Cuba.

Born in Barcelona, Spain, Ariadna Rodriguez started playing the Violin and studying Dance at the age of five. She developed a passion for both disciplines, and from the age of six, she intuitively created her own performances combining them. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Music, a Diploma in Contemporary Theater and finishing her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance, Ariadna had an active career as a freelance musician and performer, that brought her to tour Europe with different Orchestras and Companies (JONDE, Fusió Chamber Orchestra, EAYO, JONC…).

In 2005, her passion for exploring the Alternative Styles on the Violin and to create multidisciplinary work brought her to the US. She obtained the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship of Excellence to study at Berklee College of Music and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Fulbright scholars are dedicated to work on the possible development of peace between nations and Miss Rodriguez was selected with very few artists around the world to fulfill this mission. At Berklee College of Music, she was awarded with the prestigious ‘String Achievement Award’, earned a place in the University’s Dean List and graduated Suma Cum Laude. Miss Rodriguez identified herself with a unique and original style of multidisciplinary performance work, and she premiered her piece ‘Labyrinth’ at the Mobius Space, Boston, MA in December 2007; followed a full program of performances in the Unites States (Boston, New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles) and Europe. She moved to Los Angeles in 2008 where she is a member of the Rachel Rosenthal Company and Body Weather Laboratory directed by Oguri. She also collaborates with Collage Dance Theater and the French Director and actress Nathalie Broizat (‘Amour, where are you?’). Her solo work has been recently featured at the ‘Flower of the Season’ series at the Electric Lodge and at this present edition of the Los Angeles Woman Theater Festival.
