“The Dig: Death, Genesis & the Double Helix” (theatre)

In this excerpted piece, an American genetic archaeologist, in the wake of her own mother’s death, is summoned to the ancient Arab-Hebrew town of Jaffe where something is found that could change what we know and believe about our DNA.

Stacie Chaiken is the founder and artistic director of “What’s the Story?”  Chaiken has performed on and off-Broadway, in theatres throughout the United States and abroad. . She recently appeared as Nava in the English-language premiere of Shmuel Hasfari’s Master of the House at Laguna Playhouse. Chaiken is on the performance faculty of the University of Southern California School of Theatre, and teaches internationally as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in the field of performance and story.
