An autobiographical solo show where life, death, the acting world, and music collide. It is a journey about overcoming adversity, facing fear, cheating death, and gaining character.

Susan Damante is a Writer/Performer/Executive Producer who studied under William Ball at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Her most recent theatrical appearances have been the role of Katherine in Terri Sissman’s Throwing Rubies directed by Sue Hamilton at the Stella Adler and on the New York stage as Bev McHale.  As a talent manager Damante has coached and guided the entertainment careers of daughters, Vinessa Shaw (Eyes Wide Shut, Hocus Pocus, 310 to Yuma) and Natalie Shaw (Under Suspicion, 413 Hope Street, and Just One Night, opposite Tim Hutton).  A 35-year year practicing Nichiren Buddhist with the SGI, Damante dedicates her solo play, developed and produce under her banner: Out Our Way Productions, to her mentor Daisaku Ikeda and to her mother Marjorie.

Susan Damante’s autobiographical solo show is about her journey of overcoming adversity, facing fear, cheating death and gaining character through her misfortune and encouraging others along the way.
